Long Time no write

Hi, i know i have not written on my blog in a long time. A lot has been happening in my life right now. I have a wonderful boyfriend now who loves me so much and i have the greatest friends in the world. Video game wise, I have managed to get a X-Box 360 for my birthday from my best guy friend Ralph. For that system, I have the Orange Box, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Plants vs. Zombies, which is so much fun!!! If anyone wants to play me at Halo, my x-box gamertag is Ecto Chan. I am going to try and get any versions of the Blazblue games that I can because they are so addictive. I also got a PS2 for Christmas from my friends. I have a variety of different games from that system, such as: Dynasty Warriors, Grand Theft Auto, Everquest, Kingdom Hearts, etc. It's also the world's greatest dvd player lol. I have managed to download the Everquest Extended game and a game called Phantasy Star Online, which is so addictive.I have 3 jobs just to be able to finish up my hours in the school of hospitality management so that i can graduate. My first job is working at Sun-Life Stadium for a company called Centerplate which does the merchandising for the stadium. This job requires me to work all University of Miami games and all Miami Dolphins games. The dolphins games are always crowded and don't always have a desirable outcome, they just need to replace the coach in my opinion. If I am lucky, they will let me work in the Club level 200 section where there are not that many people and it's very peaceful. I am just about to start another job with a company called Aramak, which does a lot of catering for FIU. My final job is being a news reporter for the FIU newspaper, the Beacon. Today was wonderful because we had the host of the number 1 show on Food Network (Restaurant Impossible) Robert Irvine come and do a demo for the university. He is such a cool guy. I am at school right now and class just ended....stomach growling....this weekend was pretty bland, went and saw District 9, played Brawl with a few friends until the wee hours of the morning on Thurs. Not much new stuff is going on with me....btw, thank you for all the views on my site....almost to 1000! Yay!

My trip to North Carolina

aw...the beauty of the Carolinas...so much nature. Ever since the 13th of August, I have been in Western North Carolina in a small little city called Hendersonville visiting my grandmother. This little city is very historic and it even has a shop called the Mast General Store, which has been around since 1883. I have done a lot of shopping at stores such as Stein Mart (A discount designer store) and Gypsy Heart (a gorgeous place on main street where u can get many different things made from actual gypsies). During my visit, I have been hanging out with my Uncle Jim, who lives in Asheville (I consider it to be a combination of Miami and NYC in terms of the building designs). I leave to go home on Wed (the 19th) and it's a 12 hour drive back home. It's funny...the monday after i get home...class starts. lol Will let u guys know when i get home.

I know that things will definitely turn around for me...i will get a job...have my boyfriend love me again...and i will definitely listen to my voice on the 10th episode of the Ghostheads (Ghostbusters) podcast...i did a segment about the wii game...hopefully you all will enjoy. April: My grandfather died of Liver Cancer.
May: Went to Grandpa's funeral in NC, got into a car accident, sprained my arm, and my boyfriend of 5 yrs broke up with me.

sorry I haven't written in a while...been busy. School is going great...finals coming up and everything is great with me and Jonathan. We just went to go see Dragonball: Evolution on Friday and believe me when I say that it's a great movie.

Anniversary

I am so happy that today is my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend, Jonathan! Who knows what we're going to do today but I have a feeling that we are going to go see "Watchmen"...and everyone keeps asking when Jonathan will ask me to marry him...the true answer is that I have no idea if he will ask me someday or not...But I would never push him into it. I just felt like I had to address this question now (given that today is my anniversary with him).

NC trip

HI all, I spent 03/06/09-03/09/09 at my grandparents house in Western North Carolina...Everything was good except for saying goodbye. While we were there, my mother, sister, and I hung out with grandma, grandpa, and Uncle Tom (Who is absolutely hilarious!)

Yesterday, I found out that my mother, sister, and I are going to North Carolina (03/06-03/09) should be fun. We're taking my CR-V and it's a 12 hour drive up there. I will continue writing and will have my new story up and running.

Gaming

There are many challenges when it comes to being a woman in a gaming world dominated by men. I am referring to, of course, games such as Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and casino card games. It has been my own experiance that most men are intimidated by women who can beat them at card games and the women become ridiculed because of their talent. It's so not fun to be made fun of for something you are good at...believe me. At all tournaments, I am the only girl there and I do fairly well (except for Reginals). I placed second in my 1st tournament.
As for me, I am a very good card player who can beat the guys at their own game. Take Yu-Gi-Oh as an example: I run 3 different kinds of decks: Dragons, Warriors, and Synchro/Psychics. My dragons have been around for almost 5 yrs, warriors are about a year old, and I just built my psychic deck and it works fairly well so far.
My warrior deck revolves around Cyber Blader...it kicks butt!
My Dragon deck revolves around my Blue Eyes White Dragons and my Armed Dragons.
My Synchro/Psychics deck revolves around my synchros (not gonna say which ones, lol).

If anyone ever wants to duel me, I am usually in the game room at FIU South. Please, feel free to stop by & we can duel.

“I Dream of Zombies”

FADE IN:

INT. OFFICE – DAY

RACHEL, 30 something, wearing business attire, is sitting in her office chair. She is looking at some papers that are on her desk.

She looks at her coffee cup and gets up out of her chair. She walks to the door and opens it.

RACHEL
Can somebody please get me some coffee?

Rachel looks out the door and doesn’t see anyone around.

RACHEL
(continuing)
Where the hell is my damn coffee?

She walks out of her office.

INT. OFFICE – CONTINUOUS

Rachel walks towards one the cubicles.

A Zombie is standing in the cubicle. It moans and startles Rachel.

Rachel runs away from the zombie. She runs down
the hall and more zombies come near her.

JACOB, 30 something, business attire, walks in
front of Rachel. He is holding an umbrella and
swings it at the zombies.

Two of the zombies come near them and Jacob stabs one of them in the eye.

JACOB
The name is Jacob, Milady. Do you
know where the Chaotica Talisman is?

RACHEL
Whatever! I’m getting the hell out of
here!

Rachel screams as more zombies come towards them, moaning. Jacob takes Rachel by the hand and guides her to the nearest door. The zombies do not seem to notice that Jacob and Rachel are gone.

INT. STORE – CONTINUOUS

The store has a lot of cabinets and a food counter. Rachel and Jacob catch their breath and sit down on the floor behind the counter.

RACHEL
What is this about a talisman?

JACOB
It is said to have the power to destroy
all zombies and turn them to ash. I
have reason to believe that it is here.

Two zombies come into the store and come near the counter. Jacob grabs a glass from the cabinet behind them and throws it at one of the zombies.

Rachel takes some silverware from one of the drawers and throws a few knives at the other zombie.

One of the zombies pushes Rachel into the cabinets and she passes out. The zombie leans over Rachel and Jacob punches it.

The other zombie bites down onto Jacob’s shoulder. Jacob’s eyes turn yellow and his skin turns green. He develops scars all over his body.

Rachel begins to stir and screams when she sees Jacob.

RACHEL
Oh no! Jacob!
Rachel gets up and runs towards the overhead air conditioning vent. She throws a small chair at it and the vent comes open. She jumps into it.

INT. AIR VENT – CONTINUOUS

It is dusty and Rachel can barely see anything. She squints her eyes and sees something shiny in the distance.

RACHEL
No, it can’t be. I thought he was
joking about that talisman.

Rachel looks at the talisman.

CLOSE UP – TALISMAN

The talisman is small and purple. “Destruction” is written on it in Spanish.

BACK TO RACHEL

as she looks at the talisman. She holds the talisman up and she sees a flash emanating from it. She jumps down from the vent and doesn’t see any zombies. All she sees are piles of ash.

Rachel smiles and she sees a white light all around her.

INT. BEDROOM – CONTINUOUS

Rachel is in her bed asleep. She wakes up and looks at her empty hand.

RACHEL
I can’t believe I dreamt that.

She looks over at her clock and gets out of bed.

RACHEL
(continuing)
Time to go to work.

What's new with me?

What is new with me, you ask? So far, I am enjoying FIU and it's awesome...playing Yu-gi-oh any chance I get. My new friends at this school are awesome too... First of all, there's Chris...totally insane! Then there is some really cool chick who sounds like she's 20 but she's actually 28.. Some of my buddies that came here from MDC are: Big Jeff (totally nuts), Andrew (Very sweet), Andres ,and Clark (big teddy bear). I apologize (to my readers) that I haven't written in a while. I've been busy playing this online game called Gaia (an anime simish game). Trying to find a parking space at FIU is like trying to get tickets to a sold out concert. I have also been going to the gym (5 days a week) and eating healthier while trying to do my New Year's Resolution, which is for me to be about 10 pounds lighter by the time that my 5 yr anniversary with Jonathan comes around...Wish me luck, Readers.

Sorry that I have not written in such a long time. Life is great...I am studying at FIU (First semester) and it's really fun. 2 of my good friends from Miami-Dade (Jeff and Andrew) are at the school with me and we play SuperSmash Brothers on the Wii, that's at school. I am working on my youtube website. My name is angelofwriting, look me up. Classes I am taking: Accounting, Marketing, Math, and Fund. Management. Accounting+Math=EEK! I started out the semester with my arm in a sling (Fell and broke a bone in my arm). I just found out that I did not get a bid to join the Delta Phi Omega Sorority (Kinda sad). Tae Kwon Do is still fun (still have a green belt) ...Jonathan (my boyfriend of almost 5 years) and I might be going to Orlando at the end of October for the Disney Martial Arts Festival (I hope that members of the team will go).

My Summer

So far, Summer has been a blast, I have been playing video games most days. I am playing an MMORPG called Second Life (a game similar to the SIMS). In the game u can even switch genders lol. I cannot believe that I will turn 24 this year. Can't believe it, huh? I am taking a temporary vacay (vacation) from Tae Kwon Do (healing injury). I have also been taking a cooking class at Miami-Dade College. I am getting everything ready to start FIU in the fall. Damn u, Hepatitis B Shot (that FIU requires). Scared of needles. My boyfriend and I are probably gonna go to water parks this summer.

Weird Dream

Last night, I had the weirdest dream. I was in NYC at Yankee Stadium and halfway during the Yankee/Marlins game, the roof retracted (allowing the sun to shine) and then they put the roof up again (so we couldn't see the sun). It went on like that for about 2 innings. I was thinking "Enough already!" Then I woke up.
